Hi Ladies,

I have finally reached quilting stardom!!!  I entered the Muncy Historical Society Quilt Show and much to my surprise I was awarded Best in Show and First Place in the Domestic Hand-Guided Machine Quilting category and First Place in the Wall Hanging category. Betty Neff, my teacher for the Muncy Compass class that I took 2 years ago was instrumental in in helping to create the pattern from the original Muncy Compass quilt dated 1855.  She was there today and shared her excitement with me.  What an honor!!!  We all have it in us.  So let's all keep our sewing machines humming.

CW Love Letter Row #2

Here is Row # 2....when you look at the block on page 48 you will see there is an error....the orange fabric should go all the way around.....just extent that line.  also....there should be 4 pieces of fabric on the outside edge....it doesn't  show any seam lines.

NOTE: if you are going to cut your small pieces of sashing and add to the right side of your blocks as you complete them....the book said to cut the sashing 2" x 6"....this is incorrect....it should read 2" x 6 1/2".

CW Love Letter Row # 1

I completed my first row of the CW Love Letters.  I am surprising myself....I am not stressing at all if my points do not match when stitching on the sashing....the dark CW fabrics hide that area.   These are so much fun!

I hope most of you are working on a block.....just to get you started.  Start with an easy one....which ever book you are working from.   I am preparing blocks and putting into baggies for sit and sew.  Then all I have to do is pull out all the pieces from a baggie....look in the book for that block and sew it together.  I did this with my DJ and this system worked for me.  Happy Stitching,  Nancy

Here is my first block for CWLL

My dream quilt.

Perry Piecemakers: What does everyone think about having a fabric swa...

Perry Piecemakers: What does everyone think about having a fabric swa...: What does everyone think about having a fabric swap?  I know that these quilt blocks don't take a lot of fabric, so perhaps we can do a swap...

I think a faric swap would be a great idea since my personal challenge is to use one fabric one time only.
